entertainment: Sharif denies attacking valet

Los Angeles, Oct 28 (IANS) Movie legend Omar Sharif who starred in films like "Lawrence Of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago" has hit back at claims that he attacked a California parking attendant who refused to accept fines he was paying in euros.

Internet Movie Database reports that attendant Juan Anderson claims Sharif called him a "stupid Mexican" and proceeded to punch him in the face.

But Sharif's lawyer called the claims "ridiculous" and said Sharif has "several witnesses" who could back up his story. "The police looked into this claim and didn't want to file any charges."
